Alvescot is a village and civil parish in the West Oxfordshire district of Oxfordshire, just south of Carterton. Alvescot is an attractive village, consisting mainly of period houses and cottages, together with the Church of St Peter which dates from the 13th century. Lying mid-way between Lechlade and Burford, the whole village is designated a Conservation Area. Everyday shops are at Lechlade and Burford, an historical coaching town beside the River Windrush. Directions
From our offices in the centre of Bampton proceed in a westerly direction leaving via Bridge Street. After leaving Bampton follow this road all the way into the village of Clanfield at the cross roads turn right. Follow this road through Black Bourton into Alvescot.
