Bampton is a picturesque Cotswold village best known as the setting for Downton Abbey. Bampton has a thriving community with village activities including the SPAJERS famous shirt race, donkey derby/village fete, secret gardens, Morris dancing and garage sales, all which continue to grow in popularity each year.
The village offers a selection of amenities including a supermarket, an award winning family butcher, solicitors, garden centre, numerous public houses, cafe, several hairdressers, and Post Office. It also has a primary school, youth centre, sports pavilion, doctor's surgery (pharmacy) and a public library. There are further schooling and shopping facilities in Aston (2 miles), Witney and Faringdon (both about 5 miles) and Burford (about 7 miles). The village is also well situated for road communications being about 5 miles from both the A40 and the A420.
From our office in central Bampton head North/East on the high street and after a short distance take the junction on your left (opposite the Morris Clown) onto Bushey Row. Continue down Bushey Row until you reach the end and turn right onto New Road. Proceed down New Road and take the third right onto Calais Dene. Follow the road to the end bearing right when you get the the fort and the property will be found to the left in the cul-de-sac.
